My Soul Sings To The Lord
October 1996 - in Memory of Kevin

My soul sings to the Lord
Of rivers and sky and trees
Of the spriit of John and James and Peter
And all those using hook, line, and sinker

My soul sings of autumn leaves and fond farewells
Of gulls a-wing in graceful soaring
And spirits resting by the waters' roaring

My soul sings of eternal seeing and peace full being
of essense found in the breezes passing
and of birth and death in the seasons' cycles

Eternity awaits in the core of mortal flesh
The touch that feels and the sight that sees
The word that speaks and the food that feeds
And you, oh friend, have found it all
and are one with the rivers and sky and trees

My souls sings to the Lord
A song of falling leaves and rain grey sky
A song of passing and a song of belonging
A song that is sung by the rivers and sky and trees
And sings of all that is in the heart Of the eternal one that made you and I
