Seagulls: An Introduction: I grew up with seagulls on the East Coast of Canada. Our family had a seagull mascot named Sylvester, who magically seemed to know every deed (and misdeed) we ever made. Sylvester would report to my Dad far out at sea as to the state of the family back home. Today, Sylvester sits in the dining room window wondering where that ocean is.
